Em ação na Rodovia Adolpho Serra, na altura da localidade de Quilombo Novo, policiais militares da 2ª Companhia, com apoio de agentes do Serviço de Inteligência do BPM, apreenderam duas armas de fogo, munições e prenderem três pessoas. Entre os presos, um era foragido da Justiça e um suspeito de envolvimento em homicídios em Conceição da Barra.
Em mensagem à Rede TC, a PM relata que a ação foi desencadeada com informação do Serviço de Inteligência dando conta que um veículo com três pessoas armadas havia saído do trevo da BR-101 em direção à Cidade de Conceição da Barra. Policiais da 2ª Companhia então montaram cerco na altura do Bairro Quilombo Novo, onde abordaram o VW Gol cinza. De acordo com a PM, durante as buscas pessoais foram encontrados, na cintura de um detido de 18 anos, um revólver Taurus Special calibre 38, cinco munições intactas e um pino de cocaína. No veículo, os militares localizaram mais um revólver Taurus Special calibre 38 com seis munições intactas. Em outro compartimento, havia mais quatro munições.
A PM apreendeu ainda o motorista e dono do veículo, um homem de 41 anos, e o outro indivíduo, de 33 anos, que estava com mandado de prisão em aberto. De acordo com a Polícia Militar, o rapaz de 18 anos é suspeito de ter envolvimento em homicídios ocorridos em Conceição da Barra nos dias 10 de fevereiro e 6 de abril, ambos em 2018. Os detidos foram conduzidos ao DPJ de São Mateus, juntamente com os materiais apreendidos.
