Os participantes da Conferência Municipal de Educação lançaram uma carta aberta com pedido de apoio ao Ministério Público Estadual para cumprimento da resolução do Conselho Municipal que regulamenta a escolha de diretor na rede municipal. A conferência aconteceu sexta e sábado, no auditório central do Ceunes.
“Em tempos de violência escancarada e de constantes e variados atentados a nossa frágil democracia, os delegados e demais presentes na Conferência de Educação de São Mateus vêm a público solicitar ao Ministério Público Estadual ação no sentido de fazer cumprir a Resolução 18/2017”, registra o documento assinado pelos 160 participantes. A conferência concluiu que a resolução do conselho está de acordo com as metas dos planos Nacional e Municipal de Educação.
Ainda na conferência, foram eleitos os 16 delegados que participarão da Conferência Estadual de Educação, nos dias 23 e 24, em Vitória. A professora doutora Sumika Freitas fez uma análise de conjuntura da educação e o contexto histórico em que as conferências acontecem neste ano de 2018.

Secretária de Educação e presidente do Fórum Municipal, Zenilza Pauli ressalta que a conferência foi uma oportunidade de reflexão do cenário educacional atual. “Estamos buscando alinhar ideias e proposições. O Município agora envia seus delegados para a etapa estadual, para que colaborem com as discussões que implicarão nas políticas futuras da educação” – reforça.
A Conferência foi realizada pelo Fórum Municipal de Educação, com apoio da Prefeitura de São Mateus, por meio da Secretaria de Educação.
