A Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção (OEC) assinou acordo com a Petrocity Portos para construir o Complexo Portuário de São Mateus, o primeiro porto da Região Sudeste dentro da área de abrangência da Sudene, que deverá ser instalado em Uruçuquara, no litoral sul mateense. A informação foi confirmada na tarde desta quinta-feira pelo diretor da Petrocity, José Roberto Barbosa da Silva, em entrevista por telefone à Rede TC.
De acordo com ele, as obras estão orçadas em R$ 2,1 bilhões e têm previsão de iniciar no primeiro trimestre de 2019, com operação programada para começar no segundo semestre de 2021, “se tudo ocorrer dentro do planejado”, conforme ponderou o diretor. A estimativa é que sejam criados 4.500 empregos na fase de instalação.
José Roberto afirmou ainda que a Odebrecht assumiu, inclusive, a parte de estudos, projetos e licenciamento. Conforme já havia declarado à TC durante café empresarial oferecido pela Assenor, dia 26 na FVC, a Petrocity entregará o pedido de licença para instalação do porto marítimo, ao Instituto Estadual de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos (Iema), no dia 2 de julho.
