Sábado, o Cruzeiro disputou a final do Campeonato Rural, competição realizada pela Secretaria Estadual de Espores e Lazer (Sesport), contra Anchieta, no Estádio Kleber Andrade. Após empate de 1 a 1 durante o jogo, com direito a gol de falta do meia Douglas, os jaguarenses foram derrotados nos pênaltis por 7 a 6.

“Foi um aprendizado legal, foi bem produtivo. A vitória não veio, mas só de estar na final, ter perdido nos pênaltis após ter jogado melhor, temos a sensação de dever cumprido” – disse Felipe. O presidente adiantou que a base deve ser mantida para o Campeonato Municipal, para buscar mais um título e garantir presença no Campeonato Rural em 2019.
