O corpo de um pescador foi localizado na beira do Rio Cricaré, na altura do Km-14 da BR-381, próximo a uma rede de pesca. De acordo com o boletim de ocorrência lavrado pela Polícia Militar, o irmão da vítima foi quem acionou os militares para informar da morte do pescador, identificado como Jozias dos Santos, de 41 anos. Para a polícia e por telefone, o irmão da vítima disse que, como de costume, Jozias saiu para pescar no sábado (7) e tinha a rotina de retornar na segunda-feira.
Porém, conforme o irmão, como Jozias não retornou na segunda (9), por volta das 15h foi até o local onde ele costumava fazer as pescarias à beira rio, na localidade conhecida como antiga Knor, e encontrou o corpo de Jozias com parte ainda submerso e preso às redes de pesca.
A PM registra que diante da situação, foi acionada a perícia da Polícia Civil e pedido o apoio do Corpo de Bombeiros para remover o corpo de Jozias, que foi encaminhado para o Serviço Médico Legal de Linhares para as averiguações necessárias.
