Vitória vai receber no período de 24 a 29 de abril a Fashion Revolution Week, evento que alia moda e sustentabilidade. A palestra de abertura será da consultora da Fibria, Mayta Lara Leal, que vai falar da experiência que a empresa vem desenvolvendo junto a quatro aldeias indígenas de Aracruz (ES). A palestra da consultora, que é graduada em moda e tem mestrado em moda sustentável, será no dia 25 de abril, às 19 horas, e vai abordar o projeto que faz parte do Programa de Sustentabilidade Tupiniquim e Guarani (PSTG), desenvolvido pela Fibria.
Realizado nas aldeias de Comboios, Pau-Brasil, Areal e Córrego do Ouro, a iniciativa consiste em orientar as mulheres na produção de artigos diversos, feitos a partir do reaproveitamento de materiais. Por exemplo, ecobags e bolsas feitas com lonas de materiais publicitários cedidas pela Fibria, e outros tipos de trabalhos que envolvem a utilização de retalhos que são resíduos da indústria de confecção.
A consultora de Sustentabilidade da Fibria, Claudia Belchior, destaca que o trabalho com as aldeias indígenas é uma iniciativa que visa orientar a comunidade em atividades que resultem na geração de renda. Também envolve ações de resgate das tradições da cultura tupiniquim e guarani. O trabalho envolvendo a produção de artigos a partir de material reciclável abrange cerca de 60 famílias.
A Fashion Revolution Week é um movimento mundial em defesa da moda sustentável e acontece pela primeira vez em Vitória, com ações em diversos locais.
