Dez novas ambulâncias serão destinadas à renovação da frota do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu 192). Os veículos foram enviados pelo Ministério da Saúde e entregues nesta quarta-feira (16) pela Secretaria Estadual da Saúde (Sesa) com o objetivo de renovar a frota de acordo com a necessidade, podendo ser Unidade de Suporte Básico (USB) ou Unidade de Suporte Avançado (USA).
“Em fevereiro deste ano, foram entregues oito ambulâncias, totalizando 18 novas ambulâncias para garantir o atendimento à população em uma frota mais moderna”, disse o secretário estadual da Saúde, Ricardo de Oliveira.
Atualmente, o Samu conta com uma frota de 31 ambulâncias, abrangendo um total de 2,21 milhões de pessoas, o que representa uma cobertura de 56% da população capixaba. No Espírito Santo, o Samu 192 atua em 18 municípios: Vitória, Vila Velha, Serra, Fundão, Cariacica, Viana, Guarapari, Piúma, Anchieta, Marechal Floriano, Domingos Martins, Santa Maria de Jetibá, Santa Teresa, Itaguaçu, Afonso Cláudio, Venda Nova do Imigrante e Itarana.

O Governo do Estado adianta que ampliará o acesso da população ao Samu 192. O serviço será oferecido em mais quatro municípios: Laranja da Terra, Ibatiba, Conceição do Castelo e Santa Leopoldina. Nessa área, a cobertura será de 63.172 pessoas. Cada município receberá uma unidade de suporte básico.
