Os consumidores brasileiros acreditam que a inflação acumulará taxa de 5,4% nos próximos 12 meses. O resultado de julho da Expectativa de Inflação dos Consumidores, medida pela Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), é 0,2 ponto percentual acima do registrado em junho (5,2%).
Na comparação com julho de 2017, no entanto, houve um recuo de 1,5 ponto percentual, já que, naquele mês, foi registrada uma expectativa de inflação de 6,9% para os 12 meses seguintes.
De acordo com o economista Pedro Costa Ferreira, da FGV, a leve alta na expectativa de inflação dos consumidores “reflete o aumento de preços ocorridos devido à greve dos caminhoneiros e captada pelo Índice de Preços ao Consumidor de junho”.
A FGV espera, no entanto, que, como a greve dos caminhoneiros foi um evento isolado, já nos próximos meses, a expectativa de inflação do consumidor volte a cair e fique rondando os 5%.
