O presidente Michel Temer convocou para hoje (21) uma reunião de emergência para discutir a alta dos preços dos combustíveis. A reunião ocorre no momento em que os caminhoneiros deflagraram uma paralisação por tempo indeterminado e que bloqueia rodoviais em pelo menos dez estados. Os caminhoneiros se queixam do reajuste das tarifas do diesel.
A reunião, no Palácio do Planalto, está marcada para as 18h. Foram chamados para participar da conversa com o presidente os ministros Moreira Franco (Minas e Energia), Eduardo Guardia (Fazenda), Eliseu Padilha (Casa Civil), Esteves Colnago (Planejamento) e o secretário da Receita Federal, Jorge Rachid.
Pela manhã, os presidentes do Senado, Eunício Oliveira (MDB-CE), e da Câmara, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), anunciaram para o dia 30 uma Comissão Geral no Congresso que deverá acompanhar os desdobramentos da política de reajuste de preços de combustíveis no país.
Nesta manhã, Guardia disse que o governo examina a redução de tributos incidentes sobre os combustíveis, mas não tem ainda nenhuma decisão sobre o assunto. Em teleconferência com a imprensa estrangeira, ele afirmou que medidas para reduzir as alterações constantes nos preços estão sendo discutidas, mas destacou que o governo não tem neste momento “flexibilidade fiscal”.
