O Governo do Estado, por intermédio da Secretaria de Segurança Pública (Sesp) e da Polícia Militar, e a Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo firmaram convênio para reforçar a segurança em todos os campi da Ufes. No total, até 120 policiais militares da reserva remunerada serão empregados para realizar o policiamento nesses locais. O documento foi assinado nesta quinta-feira (5), no gabinete do Comando-Geral da PMES, em Maruípe.
Estiveram presentes o governador Paulo Hartung, o secretário de Segurança Pública, coronel Nylton Rodrigues, o reitor da Ufes Reinaldo Centoducatte, o comandante-geral da PMES, coronel Alexandre Ramalho, entre outras autoridades. Os policiais militares serão distribuídos pelos quatro campi da Ufes no Estado, em Goiabeiras, Maruípe, São Mateus e Alegre. O efetivo será empregado após passar por processo de seleção e treinamento adequados.
O governador Paulo Hartung ressalta que a Ufes é um espaço onde se formam profissionais, conhecimentos são compartilhados e onde há um grande desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico. “Por isso, celebrar esse convênio é importante não só para a Universidade, mas para toda a sociedade capixaba”, completa.
“Atendemos a um pedido da Universidade e os militares vão começar a atuar. Os profissionais são capacitados para atuar em qualquer local que forem demandados” – disse secretário de Segurança Nylton Rodrigues.
O comandante-geral Alexandre Ramalho ressaltou que é uma “satisfação estabelecer esse vínculo com a Universidade e estar mais presente no cotidiano da comunidade acadêmica, sempre com a premissa de trabalhar da melhor forma para levar segurança aos cidadãos”.
Para o reitor da Ufes, o reforço na segurança trará mais tranquilidade para ensinar, aprender, produzir conhecimento e se relacionar com as pessoas nos campi. “Com a soma de todos esses esforços, quem ganha é a sociedade”, avaliou Reinaldo Centoducatte.
