Os veículos foram adquiridos com recursos próprios pelo Governo do Estado, no valor total de R$ R$ 1.738.000,00, e foram entregues pela Secretaria de Estado da Saúde (Sesa) na manhã desta quinta-feira (19).

De acordo com a Assessoria de Comunicação da Sesa, as ambulâncias poderão ser utilizadas pelos municípios em diferentes ocasiões. Por exemplo, para transportar pacientes de Unidades de Pronto Atendimento (UPAs) para hospitais; de um hospital para outro; de casa para o hospital, caso o quadro de saúde do paciente exija esse tipo de suporte, seja para realização de exames, internação ou outro serviço.
As ambulâncias vão facilitar a integração entre a atenção básica, a atenção ambulatorial especializada e a atenção hospitalar, garantindo à população um atendimento integral à saúde.
