Como forma de garantir o fornecimento de insumos e alimentos para os avicultores e suinocultores do Espírito Santo, o Governo do Estado, por meio da Secretaria da Agricultura, conseguiu, na manhã desta segunda-feira (28), a liberação de 6 mil toneladas de milho estocadas em armazéns da Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) junto ao Ministério da Agricultura, Abastecimento e Pecuária (Mapa).
Segundo o secretário da Agricultura, Ideraldo Lima, os grãos estão armazenados nas cidades de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim e Colatina. “Já estamos em contato com os produtores para que eles possam adquirir junto a estes armazéns o milho para alimentar as aves e os suínos. A falta de alimentos é motivo de preocupação porque coloca em risco a vida dos animais e essa medida será importante para minimizar os efeitos da falta de abastecimento de insumos e para que a população tenha o alimento disponível”.
O secretário ainda destacou que o Governo está adotando outras medidas para garantir que os avicultores e suinocultores consigam alimentar os animais e escoar a produção a fim de que não ocorram descartes. No último sábado (26), o secretário se reuniu com representantes do setor para definir as estratégias a serem adotadas.
