O Índice de Confiança do Comércio, medido pela Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), caiu 4,1 pontos de abril para maio, ao passar de 96,7 para 92,6 pontos. Com o resultado, o indicador retornou ao mesmo patamar de novembro de 2017. Em médias móveis trimestrais, o indicador recuou 1 ponto depois de oito altas seguidas.
De abril para maio, a confiança recuou em 11 dos 13 segmentos pesquisados. O Índice de Situação Atual, que mede a avaliação dos empresários do comércio sobre o momento presente, caiu 4,7 pontos e chegou a 89,4 pontos, menor nível desde janeiro passado (88 pontos).
Já o Índice de Expectativas, que mede a avaliação dos empresários em relação ao futuro, caiu 3,2 pontos, para 96,2 pontos, menor valor desde setembro de 2017 (95,6 pontos).
De acordo com a FGV, a queda do indicador sinaliza que o setor já percebe uma desaceleração no ritmo do crescimento das vendas. “ A queda da percepção atual sugere que a recuperação das
vendas deve continuar de forma gradual e sujeita a tropeços ao longo do ano”, disse o pesquisador da FGV Rodolpho Tobler.
