Um homem foi preso acusado de dirigir embriagado na madrugada desta segunda-feira (23) na Vila de Itaúnas após bater o veículo que conduzia num muro. De acordo com o boletim de ocorrência confeccionado pela Polícia Militar, populares denunciaram que o homem dirigia um Saveiro perigosamente pelas ruas da Vila, ameaçando pedestres e fazendo manobras conhecidas como cavalo de pau.
De acordo com o BO, durante as buscas, os militares registram que foram abordados por uma testemunha de bicicleta informando que o veículo acabara de bater num muro e ao chegarem ao local, os policiais não encontraram o condutor no veículo, porém, pessoas que se aglomeravam próximo ao veículo disseram que o motorista havia fugido e entrado numa área de manguezal. A PM registra ainda que foi feito contato com o condutor do veículo e, após diálogo, ele saiu do manguezal e foi detido.
Segundo o BO, o homem estava totalmente alterado, possivelmente por uso de bebidas alcoólicas, se recusou a fazer o teste do bafômetro, apresentava sonolência, alternado com momentos de agitação, olhos avermelhados, dificuldade para caminhar, e que foram encontradas garrafas vazias dentro do veículo. Ele foi encaminhado ao Departamento de Polícia Judiciária de São Mateus.
